John 17:5 Butchered by Trinitarians

Do Jesus and His Father share the same glory? What is "glory?" Trinitarians regularly butcher and twist John 17: 5 to prop up their false teaching of a 3-Person God (aka "The trinity"). The truth, as usual, will set you free from their lies.

  1. Hi. This isn't related to the video, but I wanted to talk about doubts I have about the eons. I heard Revelation 21-22 Can't be the end because of 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, but can't the mentions of Christ ruling only refer to the thousand year reign? God comes down with Jesus after, and death and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire, so couldn't 1 Corinthians 15:20-28 be fulfilled then?

  3. Thanks for your comment and question. Paul told us there are oncoming eons (Eph 2:7). These are the eon that includes the 1000-year reign and the new heaven and new earth eon.

1 Cor 15 takes us beyond the end of the book of Revelation. At the end of Revelation, death is still in operation via the death state in the lake of fire (Rev 21:8). In 1 Cor 15:26, the last enemy, death, is abolished (rendered inoperative). This is the abolition of the death state in the lake of fire (the second death). This is when the last class will be vivified (made immortal), and God will be "All in all.". Christ and His saints reign for the "eons of the eons" (Luke 1:33; Rev 11:15, 22:5), then He hands the completed and perfected kingdom to His Father (1 Cor 15:24-28).

If the second death remains, and is operating forever, 1 Cor 15:26 would remain unfulfilled.

I hope this helps. Please let me know.

Have you seen this video? ALL DEATH will be abolished by Christ Jesus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaItTHnyn0s&lc=Ugzglq1S76OPWacldkV4AaABAg

  4. Thank you for your help. I do find 1 Cor 15:20-28 a good universalist passage, However, I have two doubts. 1:" But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming. Then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power."-It says Jesus-Church-End. Where is the resurrection of those who did not believe in this life? 2:"For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be abolished is death"-Doesn't "The last...abolished..." Right after "He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet." implied that Christ putting all enemies under his feet=destroying them?

  5. I understand your doubts. I had them, too.

Jesus has been vivified (made immortal), so He is the first class, the Firstfruit. The elect, the second class, will be vivified in His presence when He returns. The rest, the third class, will be vivified at the consummation, which 1 Cor 15:24-28 details for us. When the last enemy, death, which is the second death, is abolished (v.26), all those who are dead in it will be resurrected and vivified, thus fulfilling v.22, "For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified."

    Vs. 25-28
For He must be reigning until He should be placing all His enemies under His feet.
26 The last enemy is being abolished: death.
27 For He subjects all under His feet. Now whenever He may be saying that all is subject, it is evident that it is outside of Him Who subjects all to Him.
28 Now, whenever all may be subjected to Him, then the Son Himself
also shall be subjected to Him Who subjects all to Him, that God may be All in all.

Notice the last enemy death is being abolished, meaning "rendered inoperative."

The enemies who are placed under His feet (v.25) are subjected under His feet (v.27). The all who are subjected under His feet, and Christ, will be subjected to the Father and the Father will be "All in all" who have been subjected (that's everyone). They are subjected, not destroyed. That's how God will be "All in all."

Jesus saved us all 2000 years ago. This is the end result of the salvation He secured for us all.

  6. The salvation of all through Christ is the good news. Believe it. I've seen that young man on YouTube before. I think he's reformed and teaches annihilation. Enjoy His amazing grace!

    2. Yeah, I saw someone did a video review on him and he seems to be pretty hardcore Calvinist or Reformed---God elects to save some and damn the rest.

    2. Thank you! Not related, but do you believe God is the Father of everyone, or only of the saved?

  8. He is the Father of everyone literally, but not necessarily the Father of all spiritually/relationally. In Ezek 16:20-21 God calls the children that were being sacrificed, "My children." And in Acts 17:28 all men are said to be His offspring.

In the same way, Abraham was literally the father of the Jews, yet, because of their behavior, they were not his children, nor God's children, but the Adversary's children (see John 8).

Believers definitely have a special relationship with their heavenly Father, who is not only their literal Father, but spiritual/relational Father as well.

    1. Thank you! Also, about your election video, you should have had this Bible passage:"But we should always give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you as the first fruits for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth."(2 Thess 2:13)
