Jesus is greater than Adam? Yep. His death and resurrection overcome all the effects of Adam's sin. Adam's sin brought death to all mankind; Jesus' work causes all to have immortal life. Romans 5:18 - "Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men" (ESV). 1 Corinthians 15:22 - "For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified" (Concordant Literal New Testament). Believe it!
Calvinists teach that God predetermines who will go to heaven forever and who will go to hell forever. The matter was settled before God created humanity.
As you can imagine, it's difficult, nay, IMPOSSIBLE, for Calvinists to offer any legitimate explanation of God's love for those He chose to create and condemn to the Christian hell forever AND ever. But, the Calvinist must give it a go because the Scriptures teach clearly that God loves all people. They fail.
The detrimental false teachings of eternal torment, everlasting punishment and eternal annihilation are due, in large part, to horrible mistranslations of the Greek words aion (a noun) and aionios (an adjective).
When you properly understand these words (and believe them) you'll gain an understanding of God that few have.
Many who misunderstand these 2 key words in God's revelation break a very simple rule of language, described in the video.
Massive contradictions exist in poorly translated bibles because of these mistranslations. Grasp the truth of these words, and the contradictions will disappear. Then you'll be able to see how God IS the Savior of all mankind Who also properly judges all mankind.
God's judgments are very real, but none are eternal or everlasting. You'll see that Jesus, the Savior of the world, actually DID save all by His death and resurrection. That's the GOOD NEWS!
Don't you like good news, especially when it's capitalized, bolded, underlined, red and followed by an exclamation point? I do.
Calvinists correctly teach that God is the One Who saves man. Man is unable to save himself, or to even work with God to save himself. It is ALL of God. Man can do nothing apart from God, because that is the way God made us. That's OK, I trust God to do what is right for us.
Calvinists rarely, if ever, use this one verse to support their teaching of "total inability." I'll explain why in this video.
Many who deny Jesus' saving of all will point to Jesus' words concerning Judas as evidence that "the Savior of the world" won't actually save the world. Why don't you see for yourself what the Scriptures teach.
On Friday, May 14th at 7 pm Central Time, I will affirm the truthfulness of the Salvation of all through the work of the Savior of the world. The debate will be streamed live on YouTube on The Gospel Truth channel hosted by Marlon Wilson.
I invite yo to join the live chat. And you will be able to ask questions that may be used during the Q & A portion of the debate.
1 John 3:8 shows us clearly one reason why Jesus came to earth:
Yet he who is doing sin is of the Adversary, for from the beginning is the Adversary sinning. For this was the Son of God manifested, that He should be annulling the acts of the Adversary.
The popular teaching that humans have a free will and are "free moral agents" undermines and diminishes the only One Who truly does have a free will—God.
He is the Potter, and we are His clay. Clay does nothing apart from the Potter. Nothing. And anything the clay "does" is, in reality, being done by the Potter.
But, by the wisdom and power of God, even though we are not truly free, we FEEL free (at least as free as we can feel with all of the visible and invisible forces God uses to move us and restrict us).
The fact that He is actually in control of all things should give us comfort. Who else would you want to be running this show? Bruce Almighty?
